I bought the 1.5, and the 2, and the 3 3/4. All of them is what I needed for sharp cuts because the teeth on all oster blades are better that the teeth on clipper guards. The teeth on clipper guards are spaced-out and I don't seem to get even cuts. But with the oster professional clippers with the detachable blades I get sharper and even cuts that I would get at the barber shop. Warning though, don't adjust the blades up too far on the 000, or 00000 because they will cut you and leave an intention in your skin which gives you ingrown hairs so leave some space at the top of the blades and don't raise the blade. The blades I got from barber supply.com were already set perfect.
